The sauna -- it's a luxurious experience that people all over the world enjoy. In Finland, almost every home has a sauna. In the United States, there are sauna facilities found at health clubs, spas and fitness centers all over the country. There are also many different kinds of home saunas, including portable saunas, pre-fabricated saunas, and sauna kits. If you've got a home sauna or are thinking of getting one, check out our sauna accessory guide to make your sauna even more special.
Sauna Thermometers: The sauna thermometer is probably one of the most necessary accessories. With a sauna thermometer, you can easily view the temperature in your home sauna. Thermometers made for saunas are durable and able to stand up under intense heat and moisture.
Towel Warmers: There's nothing better than using a perfectly warmed towel. A towel warmer heats your towels up to a luxurious temperature, which you can enjoy either in the sauna or afterwards. While a regular unheated towel can certainly do the job, why not add a little something special and use a warm one?
Aromatherapy: Aromatherapy offers many benefits for its users. It's thought that different fragrances can serve different purposes. For example, jasmine is thought to be relaxing and mint is touted for the mental and physical stimulation it provides. Eucalyptus is commonly used to clear stuffy nasal passages. There are lots of aromatherapy products made especially for sauna use on the market today.
Sauna Lights: Lighting in the sauna is essential if you want to see! However, there are also colored lights that impart a pleasant glow and add ambiance to your sauna session. Always choose lighting that's made especially for sauna use.
Body Creams: There are creams available that encourage the production of sweat, help open the pores, and soften the skin. These creams work well in conjunction with your sauna sessions and add nourishment and moisture to the skin. There are also luxurious creams that can be applied after using the sauna to help lock in the moisture and improve the skin's condition.
Salt Scrubs: A good salt scrub before or after sauna use can exfoliate away dead skin, help remove toxins and give the skin a healthy glow. It's a widely known fact that regular exfoliation is an important part of any good skin care routine.
Check with your local sauna dealerships to find a wide variety of sauna accessory choices like these. You'll feel like you have a luxury spa in your very own home!
